I’m going to share this with the gala committee at our next meeting. I would add one suggestion. Evaluate. If you have a recurring event, evaluate if your efforts are paying off. If you are not converting the event attendees, consider eliminating the event from your annual plan and focus on something else. Best move I ever made was eliminating a 5K from our annual plan. Our efforts just were working. It was tough to convince the board that we didn’t need to put another event in its place, though.
